Description:Thirty-seven patients demonstrated conductive hearing loss, and 1 had sensorineural hearing loss. Children with significant deformities of the jaw, particularly bilateral cases, may develop obstructive sleep apnea OSA or Pierre Robin sequence. Some of the internal organs especially the heart, kidneys, and lungs may be underdeveloped, or in some cases even absent altogether. However, mandibular deformity can become progressively more visible with age owing to asymmetrical skeletal growth plus concomitant thinning of the buccal fat pads. Pruzansky-Kaban Type IIb, after joint reconstruction with costochondral grafting.
